That Was the News...

It's been far too long. Updates should happen more often I think. But you get busy doing stuff and you forget to talk about it, you know?

I have taken to Twitter with some gusto though, and can't seem to shake it. Perhaps because I've been busy I feel like 140 characters is all there's time for. But you can't get too much nuance in such a small space and, 'Ooooh! I just had Spaghetti-Os!' might not be as informative as one might like.

Speaking of Twitter, please take some time to check out the feed we set up for The Notebook. 500 followers and counting - anyone who lives locally to Kensington and Chelsea will find our updates very useful. Follow Us!

Music has been great. I am co-writing a lot more these days and have had huge amounts of fun working with the likes of Jez and Richie. I've missed you Richie!! The good news is that Natalie Bassingthwaighte's record is tipped to go Platinum in Australia and if it does we may even get a UK release which would be awesome.

But while writing for other artists is still very much on the agenda, I haven't forgotten about my own music. I am very excited to say that I think I've been lucky enough to get a great group of musicians together for the live shows that are coming up.

The wonderfully talented Michelle Margherita (right) has taken over the basslines and the rather delectable Brooke Parrott (above) has, luckily for anyone listening, relieved me of keyboard duties. Both these foxy chicks can belt out a tune as well and have their own projects to prove it. I can honestly say I have never been as excited as I am right now to get back on stage. Just gotta get that banjo in tune!

Lojinx have almost finished editing the video for Stars which will coincide with UK DVD release and the US theatre release of The Secret of Moonacre. This will be my very first video clip for a song of mine and I'm feeling pretty special about it! Here's a still from the rough cut:

The best news of all though is that it's spring, the sun's out and they're calling for a long hot summer. I can't wait. I'll write soon to let you know about the Lojinx Cook-Out! Off to go sing a vocal now.
